This should be self-evident, as long hair has been the norm for thousands of generations, especially in the Celtic Peoples, as well as Native Indian peoples. Many things have changed since the major wars of Cultural hegemony – such as WWI and WWII – and certainly from the Viet Nam era.

Our culture leads people to believe that hair style is a matter of personal preference, that hair style is a matter of fashion and/or convenience, and that how people wear their hair is simply a cosmetic issue.
